Ruth L. Bouchey

Ruth LeBeau Bouchey of Troy, NY passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home in Troy. Ruth was born March 8, 1929 to the late Charles and Catherine LeBeau in East Greenbush.

She was a graduate of Columbia High School and the College of Saint Rose in Albany. She worked briefly for the General Electric Company in Schenectady in the 1950's, and then dedicated her life to homemaking and raising her four children. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick's and Saint Augustine's churches in Troy, and assisted with the Christian education program. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and anyone who ever had the pleasure of experiencing her apple pie would say it was the best they ever had.

Ruth is survived by her four children Charles (Moorestown, NJ), Catherine Singer (Edina, MN), William (Los Angeles, CA), and Michael (Indianapolis, IN), her grandchildren Eric, Benjamin, Margaret, Gillian, Simone, and Gavin, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her brothers Paul and Joseph, and sister Joan.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Ruth Saturday September 21st at 10am in St. Augustine's Church, 25 115th Street Troy, with interment immediately following in St. Jean's Cemetery, Troy. Family and friends are incited and may visit with Ruth's family on Friday September 20th from 4 pm until 6 pm in the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Avenue,(Corner of Parkview Court and Pawling Avenue), Troy.
