Paul Edward “Elmo” Connally, 66, passed away on August 27, 2024. He was born September 3, 1957 in Troy, N.Y. to the late William J. and Rita A. (Farley) Connally. Paul was educated at Sacred Heart Elementary School, and then after graduating from Troy High School, Paul spent the majority of his life living in Florida and Upstate New York. Paul was an outspoken, motorcycle enthusiast, jack of all trades who loved listening to music and cooking for his family. While most of his work was in the auto parts industry at Bumstead Chevrolet, Armory Garage, Albany Dodge, and Wallace Auto Group; his passion for cooking led to him opening Mo’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant and Catering business, which he owned for over 4 years.
Paul is survived by his beloved daughter and her husband, Jessica Ann and Michael Antini; and his cherished and adored granddaughter, Giuliana Grace Antini. He is also survived by his siblings, Diane M. Horton, Kathleen A. (John) Warner, William F. (Andrea) Connally, and Janice (Bruce Jordan) Connally; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, a great grandniece, and his best friend since childhood, Daniel Dayton. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother Robert J. “Elvis” Connally.
Friends are invited to attend a prayer service prior to visitation in the funeral home on September 19th, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. Friends may visit with Paul's family in the funeral home from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. Inurnment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy on Friday September 20th at 10:00 a.m. A procession will form at the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Avenue Troy at 9:15 prior to burial. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution in Paul's memory to a charity of one's choice.
