John Edward Simonik died unexpectedly at his home December 15th, 2022, at the age of 73. Born January 19, 1949, in Troy, he was the son of the late John C. and Joyce Wentzel-Simonik.
Residing in the Cayuga Apartment Plaza in Cohoes for the past several years, John will be remembered by his many friends there. A long-time employee of the Schuyler Ridge Nursing Center in Clifton Park, John was loved by both the residents and their families and will be fondly remembered as a kind and familiar face.
John is survived by his brother Joseph (Betty) Simonik; Nephew Joe (Ashley) and Niece Stephanie (Shane). Also surviving, John's dear friends Elizabeth and Kathy.
